Washington State Ferries (WSF) is a government agency that operates automobile and passenger ferry service in the U.S. state of Washington as part of the Washington State Department of Transportation. It runs ten routes serving 20 terminals located around Puget Sound and in the San Juan Islands, designated as part of the state highway system. -- Thanks Wikipedia

Welcome to the best part of the Washington State Highway System. The thrill of a ferry ride is never lost on me. It's the simplest form of magic and the quickest route to a land far away.
Whidbey Island is accessible by bridge and by two ferries. To the north you can drive over the incredible Deception Pass Bridge. From the south of the island, ride the Mukilteo-Clinton Ferry and from the west there is the Coupeville-Port Townsend Ferry.
We plan to check out the new terminal in late December 2020 at Mukilteo. While we are on the Mukilteo waterfront we like to walk both waterfront beach parks, enjoy the lighthouse and support our local Ivar's Fish Bar. I especially love low tide -- so many seaside treasures to discover.
