First stop off the ferry or the last hurrah on our way off the island - any way you experience it - it's a slice of Whidbey Island fun

Clinton, the first stop as you drive off the ferry onto Whidbey Island. Before you even leave the view of the water there is an interesting spot to note - Clinton Beach Park. This tiny beach has a front row seat to the bustling ferries and in the summer has a unique seasonally installed beach path that gives wheelchair accessibility down through the sand.
Heading up the hill off the docks of the Clinton ferry terminal - there is an immediate sense of being a world away and we embrace the instant change of pace with a leisurely stop into the Madrona Supply Co. -- browsing the perfect selection of locally made gifts, movie night candy, screen printed clothes, felted wool craft kits and our favorite dog treats.
Pickles Deli is a favorite lunch stops for our family and friends. The Rueben and the Hot Italian are top contenders for best sandwiches on the south end. In the same plaza is Sprinklz a charming ice cream shop and with a surprising selection of vintage vinyl.
Two new spots we look forward to experiencing are Thirsty Crab Brewery with fun trivia nights and local beers -- and the Skein & Tipple yarn shop with northwest cocktails bar. Let us know if you stop in and enjoy these new businesses.
If your group loves pizza night but doesn't feel like waiting for the pies up in Langley at Village Pizzaria - the tiny Clinton FoodMart has our local favorite pizzas in a take-n-bake option - and they happen to have the friendliest cashiers we've ever met.
